Mercedes has recently launched the updated version of the AMG GTR in India. It has been a stunning car ever since it was launched. It is an amazing combination of styling and performance. This 2 door coupe now gets some minor updates on the exterior as well as the interior while the heart of this beast remains unchanged.

EXTERIOR


     The front is dominated by the A-type AMG grille which houses the massive Mercedes logo on it. The long bonnet with power domes, widely flared side arches, air curtain at the side express the AMG racing DNA in it. The front now gets revised sharper LED high-performance headlights. The overall design of the car is a fusion of aerodynamics and design which makes it a high-performance sports car.

                           

     The rear gets newer tail lights which have flat, horizontal lines of LEDs embedded in them and is well suited for the rear profile of the car. It also gets new exhaust tips at the rear. The carbon-fiber aerofoil at the rear brings out the fanatic identity of the car.


INTERIOR



     The interior of this car is as impressive as its exterior, it is a high tech cockpit. The center of the dash is occupied by a 10.25-inch infotainment system that uses Mercedes' advanced user interface that is equipped with apple carplay and android auto. It also accommodates a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. The cabin is finished in gloss piano lacquer. The controls on the center are placed in a V8 format along with a touchpad that makes the cabin an engaging place to be in.


     The steering is finished in DINAMICA microfiber for better grip along with a flat bottom, it also has steering mounted control which makes the driver more accessible to the dynamic driving functions on the go. The AMG bucket seats are cozy and are significantly lighter than conventional seats, these keep you in place while driving.


ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION



     The 4.0 L Biturbo V8 under the hood produces a massive 576hp of power and 700 Nm of torque. This rear-wheel-drive beast,s engine is clipped to AMG's speedshift DCT 7G. This amount of massive power blended with the vehicle's aerodynamics is an absolute beast.



PRICE

     The AMG GTR has a price tag of Rs. 2.48 crore ex-showroom in India. It rivals the Porsche 911 turbo and Aston martin vantage V12 which cost more than this AMG.
