Every teenager just loves to get on to bikes, cars and start riding them. But yes, they have to wait till they attain the age of 18. Until then it is illegal to ride them as you might get caught by police and consequences might be severe in some cases. But if you have made it 18 then it's the right time to get your driving license. I will tell you how to get one for yourself.
Driving License

     NOTE: I will be referring to the RTO Office of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Outside Karnataka, the procedure might be different.
     NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak all RTO Offices are closed and it resumes its work after the lockdown. So you would have to wait a bit more.
     To get a driving license first you need to have a learner's license. To get one you can apply to it through their official website (Click here to visit the website) online or you can even go to your nearest RTO office where they will apply for you. Here you will need to upload two documents viz. 
  • SSLC Marks Card
  • Adhaar Card
After uploading them you get to book the slot for writing the LL Test. You can choose the time, date as well as place. Following which will need to pay the fees which vary between Rs.250 to Rs.350 depending upon whether you choose for 2 wheeler or 4 wheeler or both. Once the payment is done you will get a confirmation message and you are good to go.

     LL Test is usually very easy. There would be 15 questions and you need to give at least 10 correct answers to pass the test. If at all you failed in the test you can attempt it again by paying the required fees. Questions are related to general knowledge about road signs, traffic signs, hand signals, lane markings, and related stuff. There are many websites in which you can test your general knowledge. The test consists of 15 questions out of which most of them would ask you to find the meanings of signs. Remaining ones are questions in which you will be given a situation and you need to select the correct action. Once you have passed the LL Test you will receive a confirmation message telling you are eligible for DL Test.

Some Common Traffic Signs

     Please take your original SSLC Marks Card on the day of LL Test for verification compulsorily.
     For the DL Test, the slot booking is similar to that of the LL Test. You can book the slot in a time gap of 5 months which begins a month later you get your LL. After booking the slot you will be asked to pay the required fees. On doing so you will get a confirmation message on that.

     Please take your orginal SSLC Marks Card on the day of the DL Test for verification compulsorily.
     During the DL Test, you will be asked to perform certain maneuvers by the examiner. Depending upon your performance the examiner will decide whether you will get your DL or not. Once all the procedures are done you are ready to have your Driving License. You will receive it through the post.
