The Mercedes-Benz G 350d is a younger sibling of the G63 AMG with a smaller diesel engine and hence also cheaper than the latter. The former is quite similar to the G63 AMG in terms of shape and dimensions with some minor changes on the exterior and almost similar interior.

EXTERIOR

The front looks masculine

The G-wagon is known for its retro styling which is kind of unique and makes it stand apart from the crowd. The front of the G 350d looks just like that of the G63 AMG with some small changes which are barely noticeable like the grill which now houses 3 horizontal lines, unlike the vertical ones on the G63 AMG running from left to right of the grill, along with a big catchy Mercedes-Benz logo in between the grill. The bumper looks good and its design also adds to the vehicle's off-roading capabilities.

Lights look unique

The headlights are round and look striking at night as it hosts 42 LED lights within it arranged in proper design along with cornering light function. There is also a small Mercedes-Benz logo on the bonnet as well. The turn indicators are placed in a unique way. It comes with 23 different body colors. The G-Manufaktur also offers a range of customizations and is specifically for the G-wagon.

Looks like an old-school machine but modernised

The dominating bit on the side of the car is those big wheel arches both on the front and the back. The exhausts are hidden away which helps in off-roading. It looks kind of boxy but looks very muscular from all angles. Being a tall SUV it also gets a side footstep as standard. The wheelbase is 2890 mm long with a ground clearance of 241 mm. The wheels are also quite appealing. They are 18 inches both on the front and the rear. It gets discs on all the wheels. The sides also have body-colored rub-strips.

The spare wheel takes aways the practicality of the rear windshield

The rear of the car has a rectangular windshield through which visibility is not that great as it is partly covered by the spare wheel which is in turn covered by a cap that also has a Mercedes-Benz logo on it. The taillights are small and are rectangular which also hosts the indicators. The tailgate opens sideways and has a good carrying capacity making the car quite practical.
